Refund Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-24
1. Overview
CodeCraft Solutions sells digital services exclusively. All deliverables are intangible — delivered by download link or email. No physical goods are sold or shipped. This policy describes when refunds apply, when they do not, and how to request one.
2. Your Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
If you engage our services as a consumer resident in the EU, you have the right under the Italian Consumer Code (Codice del Consumo, Legislative Decree no. 206/2005, implementing Directive 2011/83/EU) to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion, without giving any reason. To exercise it, send a clear statement to legal@codecraftssolutions.com before the period expires; we will refund all payments received within 14 days of being informed.
Important — digital services begun within the withdrawal period. Because our work is a digital service that is typically started quickly at your request, if you ask us to begin during the 14-day period you will be asked to expressly request that we start and to acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. If you withdraw after work has started but before it is complete, you must pay for the portion of the service already provided, calculated in proportion to the full contract price.
3. Deposits and Pre-Delivery Cancellation
3.1 Before scope approval
No charge is made for submitting a quote request or reviewing a scope document. There is nothing to refund at this stage.
3.2 After scope approval, before work begins
If you cancel an approved project before we begin work, your deposit will be refunded in full within 10 business days, less any reasonable costs already incurred for preparatory work (documented and disclosed in the cancellation notice).
3.3 After work has begun
If you cancel a project after work has begun, we will calculate a fair value for the work completed to date based on the agreed scope. Any amount above that value will be refunded within 10 business days. Work already completed and delivered is not refundable.
4. After Delivery
4.1 Deliverables meeting the scope
If the deliverable performs as specified in the agreed scope document, no refund is owed. You approved the scope before work began; the scope defines what “correct” means.
4.2 Deliverables not meeting the scope
If a deliverable has a material defect — something that does not work as specified in the scope — we will fix it at no charge within the 30-day post-delivery support window. This is the primary remedy, alongside the statutory remedies available to consumers for non-conforming digital content and services under the Italian Consumer Code.
If we are unable to resolve a material defect within a reasonable period during the 30-day window, you may request a partial or full refund depending on the severity of the defect and the proportion of the scope affected.
4.3 Change-of-mind
Subject to the right of withdrawal in §2, we do not offer refunds for change-of-mind after a deliverable has been received and confirmed to meet the scope. A digital deliverable that meets its specification cannot be “returned.”
5. Retainer Services (Technical Support & Maintenance)
5.1 Cancellation
Retainer services may be cancelled with 30 days’ written notice sent to legal@codecraftssolutions.com. No penalty or lock-in applies.
5.2 Refund of pre-paid retainer fees
If you pre-pay a retainer for a period during which services were not delivered due to our failure, a pro-rata refund will be issued for the undelivered period. Normal cancellations mid-period are not refunded unless work has not yet been performed.
6. How to Request a Refund
Send a written refund request to legal@codecraftssolutions.com with:
- Your name and contact information
- The project or retainer in question
- The specific defect or reason for the refund request
We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and provide a decision within 10 business days.
7. Dispute Resolution
If we cannot agree on a refund, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal action. This policy is governed by the laws of Italy. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. This does not affect your mandatory rights as a consumer.
